About Us

The Dexter Community Orchestra is a musical group located in Dexter, Michigan. The DCO is dedicated to cultural enrichment through live symphonic music. The DCO seeks to provide the many benefits that can be achieved only through live musical performance. We are proud to offer a place for amateur musicians to play and an opportunity for individuals and families to experience the magic of live classical music. We are looking for musicians and volunteers to help make our season a resounding success.

The Dexter Community Orchestra was founded in 2005. We are incorporated as a nonprofit in Michigan and are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We adopted our bylaws in 2006 and amended them in 2010.  You can also view our member handbook.
